As a plus size lady myself, I dread the idea of dressing up in fancy costume. My body would have given great pleasure to Rubens, and would have been considered exquisitely beautiful in 17th century Holland, but by modern day standards it has to be regarded as lumpy and ponderous. When I have to appear in costume, I feel that I owe it to myself to something that will make the most of my assets rather than make me look ridiculous.

When I choose a costume for myself, I try to find something that does not make me feel foolish. My legs are as bad as the rest of me, so I prefer a long skirted outfit. On the other hand my soulders and bustline are magnificent, so I look for something that will show it off. I look for glamour rather than freaky, funny or scary.

When I look at other larger people in costume, I really wonder sometimes what they were thinking. Why choose to be Alice in Wonderland when you could be the Duchess? Why does a very large man want to appear in skin-tight Superman leotards that make it embarrassing to look at him, when he could be so impressive as Satan with a fiery red cloak?

Ultimately of course the choice is up to you, male or female. If you are a size XXXL but you have been channelling Scarlett O’Hara or Erroll Flynn all your life, go for it!

However if you feel a bit self-conscious and want to look as elegant as possible will still entering fully into the spirit of things (ha!), then here are some suggestions.

Remember to place your order in good time, so that if the size is wrong you have time to exchange it. It is generally easier to take in a too-large costume than to squeeze into one that is too small, so err on the larger size if you are unsure. If you are short you might need to take a hem up, perhaps by several inches, so make sure you have time to do all this.

You should also consider ordering the recommended accessories for your outfit. The wig, face paint, gloves, corset, chemise, headpiece all go to complete the “look”.

As this article is being written, the temperature in International Falls, Minnesota, is 38 degrees below zero. Parts of New York State are 10 below, and even down south in balmy Mobile, Alabama, the overnight low was just 28 degrees.

No matter where you live in the United States, winter can bring cold weather ranging from uncomfortable to downright dangerous. It’s absolutely critical, if you are working or playing outside for even a few minutes in these temperatures, to wear winter gloves specifically designed to protect your hands in brutal weather.

How to dress for an interview is a question that people often have when preparing for a job interview that they really want to win.

The interview dress code is fairly straight forward especially for “office” or professional-type jobs.

You really can’t go wrong with wearing business attire.

For a man, this means a business suit. Not a blazer and different color pants, a two-piece suit. Choose an appropriate and matching tie. You really can’t go wrong with a good suit (think neutral or business colors like navy blue, black or dark gray).

For a woman, this can also mean a business suit or perhaps other business attire ie. a tailored business outfit. Think conservative colors and also consider the time of year ie. you probably don’t want to wear wool during the summer.

It really depends on the position and company you are applying for but a lot of it is common sense.

Don’t forget your shoes either! Make sure your shoes are nicely shined and are clean. Nothing is worse than wearing a nice suit but forgetting what’s below your ankles!

That includes your socks, too. No white socks with dress shoes, guys!

Finally, don’t forget hygiene. It’s best to avoid strong smelling cologne or perfume on the day of an interview. Men, don’t forget to shave.

At the end of the day, dress for success and use common sense. If you have trouble figuring out what to wear, ask someone you know who can offer correct advice.

Your dress style is certainly somewhat dependent on your industry and level of position but you really can’t go wrong with wearing business attire.

Remember that it’s better to overdress than underdress. A business suit whether you’re male or female is best for office/professional positions and helps to present a great first impression.

Making dragon Halloween costume for your kids this Halloween is a great idea. You can make it by using basic green clothing items and cutting dragon features from fabric, cardboard and felt easily. After doing this make a Dragon-face mask from your cardboard and paste the horns to the top. Don’t forget to cut a rubber band apart and staple it to the sides. It’s going to be a great Dragon Halloween Costume.

Now it’s turn of a special Lady Dragon. You have to buy or make a long black sheath dress. For this a simple jersey knit will work fine. Find a Dragon silhouette on the internet or in one of pattern books. Enlarge it to fit the front of the dress ranging from just above the waist to below the knees. Now cut the Dragon from gold lame fabric and fuse it to the front of your dress.

Make small horns from sculpting clay and glue them to a black headband. Cover the rest of the headband with fake red jewels carefully. Now it’s time to apply long claw-like nail tips to your nails and paint them bright red color. Just wear black shoes and carry a long black cigarette holder with you. You are going to rock the party with this Dragon Halloween Costume.

An explosion of online games for girls had flooded the online gaming world. Next, you have a choice of four outfits to select the most appropriate one.

The next level involves a little more skill as you move the character back and forth between picture taking and signing autographs. You have one minute to try to pose for as many pictures and sign as many autographs as you can to get the best score. Remember, the media is judging you by how well you pose for pictures and how generous you are with your autographs. Next your character will participate in a TV interview. You will be asked a series of questions where you can choose from several different answers. Your results are then displayed in the form of two pages of a gossip magazine. Check out your star score to see how well you did!

You can continue playing by proceeding to Day 2 and following the schedule on your agenda. You will be going to a cafe so choose an appropriate outfit for your setting. Once again you will need to pose for photos and sign autographs. Get ready for another TV interview and answer a few more questions. The game will follow a similar form for day 3 as well. You can mix and match your choices of outfits and interview answers but remember, the better you do the higher your star score will be. Try and score all five stars!
